Mikes time on the water and trips he took were always a highlight and special time in his life. His passion for boating was a constant joy in his life that he shared with his family and friends at every opportunity. Mike was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend. Recently, he was employed by Amphenol Corporation in Sydney, NY, where he designed and built test equipment for Aerospace Technology. He was founder of Eastern Labs in 1985 and inventor of specialized devices for the construction industry. Michael served as a Vice President of Production for Cataldo Brothers and Sons, Inc., until 2003. On August 8, 1987, Michael was united in marriage to Catherine VandenBosch, a loving union of twenty years which was enriched by the birth of their two loving daughters. He was married to Debbie Livingston, with whom he had two loving daughters. Mike furthered his education throughout his life. He received a Bachelor of Technology degree in 1980 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer/Information in 1984. Michael served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force, specializing in Radar Tower/Electrical Technology, honorably discharged in 1978. He was a 1970 graduate of Rome Free Academy. Mike was born Novemin Rome, NY, the son of Angelo P. Cataldo, 55, of Rome, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Octoin Portland, Maine. Freshman Katie Perret (Colorado Springs, Colo.) notched a 9.625 for 10th as sophomore Aslynn Satterfield (Boalsburg, Pa.) tallied a 9.600 for 11th. Senior Michelle Ilg (Colonia, N.J.) finished fourth with a 9.700 as Orlando and senior Meredith Hoover (Dublin, Ohio) tied for sixth with a 9.650. Senior Lisa Clark (Philadelphia, Pa.) claimed the highest Nittany Lion finish on the vault, placing second with a 9.775, her second-highest score of the season. Senior Jen Orlando (Herndon, Va.) finished third in the all-around at the meet, posting a 38.600. Penn State posted scores of 48.400 on the vault, 48.500 on the bars, 48.050 on the beam and 48.550 on the floor.
